Medalist Golf Tour Policies

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

All play will be contested over 18 Hole and 36 Hole competition. Events are open to all professional golfers (male or female) and amateurs who have a USGA handicap of 4 or less. USGA rules will govern play. All professionals and amateurs will play from the championship tees. Ladies will play from no less than 90% of the championship yardage

REGISTER FOR AN EVENT

Players may register on our website using Pay Pal. Or pay by cash or check at the tournament site.

ENTRY FEES  

18 Hole events- $200 Pinehurst Series and Orlando Series    

36 Hole events-$475 Pinehurst Series

36 Hole events-$400 Orlando Series

33 to 35% of the field will be paid with the last check equal to the entry fee. Bank fees for returned checks will be charged to the player.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership fees will be waived until September 1, 2010. After this date, players may join the Tour for $100 (good for 12 months from the time they join) or pay $20 per event as a non-member.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In case an event cannot be completed because of bad weather, the event will be decided by the number of holes completed by the last group. All players must complete 9 holes for an event to be official. Players may stop play at any time due to a dangerous situation such as lightning.

PLAYOFFS

All ties for 1st place will result in a play-off to determine the Champion

PIN SHEETS

Players will be provided hole location sheets on the first tee.

LEADERBOARDS

A portable leaderboard will be located at the tenth tee during each round. Players will post their score and have an idea where they stand in the tournament.

YARDAGE MEASURING DEVICES

Range Finders, Lasers and Sky Caddie are allowed at every event. Slope and wind must be turned off.

GROOVES

Players may use square grooved irons and wedges for the remainder of the 2010 schedule.

SCORING AREA

A scoring table will be set up for players at the completion of their round in the Club House. Once a player has turned in their scorecard and leaves the scoring area, the scorecard is final.

CADDIES

Caddies are permitted to ride with the player in a cart as long as there is room for all players in the group.

DRESS CODE

Players may wear Slacks or Bermuda length shorts at any event. No denim or T-shirts.

CELL PHONES

Cell phones must be turned off during tournament play. Players may only use their cell phones during a tournament to call for a ruling at (321) 652-GOLF.
